The Rehab Services department works in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers at CCMH to assist patients in their rehabilitation and return to optimum living within their capacities.

The Rehab Services department provides both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services in the following areas:

  • Orthopedics (Examples include neck and back pain, sports injuries, reconstructive surgery, joint replacements, arthritis fractures, and other orthopedic conditions)
  • Neurological (Examples include CVA, TBI, spinal cord, neuropathies, other)
  • Acute Care (Examples include neurological conditions, vascular conditions, general deconditioning, decreased ability to safely ambulate, other)
  • Wound Care (Pressure ulcers, vascular conditions, wound vacuum, application, other)
  • Women's Health (Urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, other)
  • Lymphedema Management
  • Aquatic Therapy

The staff provides a wide range of treatment modalities. These treatments include the use of:

  • Manual Therapy (Myofascial release, soft tissue mobilization, joint mobilization, muscle energy techniques, and other treatments)
  • Exercises (Strengthening, stretching, general conditioning, balance, coordination, proprioceptive, home exercise program, other)
  • Gait (Analysis and Training)
  • Traction(Pelvic, cervical, manual)
  • Electrical Stimulation Neuromuscular electrical stimulation, TENS, Iontophoresis, biofeedback, Interferential current, other types of currents)
  • Ultrasound
  • Heat (Hot pack, ultrasound, whirlpool, paraffin bath, fluidotherapy, other)
  • Cryotherapy (Ice massage, cold pack, and contrast bath, other)
  • Device Fitting (Gait devices, compression garments, orthotics, braces and supports, special requests as needed, wound care)
  • Patient Education

** All services provided by the Rehab Services staff require a physician’s order or referral.
