Crawford County Memorial Hospital has a fully-staffed Emergency Room available 24 hours a day throughout the year. All patients are accepted for care, regardless of ability to pay.
The state-of-the-art Emergency Room features two trauma bays and several private exam rooms. The ER has a separate entrance away from the main entrance of the hospital to ensure additional privacy for patients. There are several parking spaces reserved for ER patients for added convenience.
The hospital's Emergency Department is certified as a Level IV Community Trauma Care Facility in the state of Iowa. This means the ER staff is highly trained and capable of caring for the urgent and special needs of trauma patients.
