Dr. Michael Thorstenson Begins General Surgery Practice at CCMH
(Denison, IA) – The Board of Trustees of Crawford County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Dr. Michael E. Thorstenson, Board certified in general surgery, began his practice at CCMH Medical Clinic on August 12, 2013. Dr. Thorstenson most recently practiced at the Gunderson Lutheran, Vernon Memorial Hospital Critical Access Surgical Outreach Center in Wisconsin.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine in Madison, Dr. Thorstenson completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
With 35‐years of surgical experience, Dr. Thorstenson is qualified to provide general and vascular surgery to the population at large.

Dr. Thorstenson is now seeing patients at the CCMH Medical Clinic. Patients can call the CCMH Medical Clinic at (712) 265‐2700 to schedule appointments and can start calling any time. Office hours for Dr. Thorstenson will be Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm.
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Thorstenson is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgeons.
