(Denison, IA) – Crawford County Memorial Hospital and CHI Health are pleased to announce Dane E. Klett, MD is conducting a Urology clinic twice monthly at CCMH beginning in September 2021. Dr. Klett is assuming the practice of Herman M. Greenwald, MD. Dr. Greenwald retired from his practice in August 2021.

Dr. Klett earned his undergraduate degree at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. He attended medical school at Creighton University School of Medicine, Omaha, NE graduating with honors.  Dr. Klett then completed his Clinical Research Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

Following this, he finished his Internship and Residency at the University of Utah before completing a Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery and Endourology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. His research articles have been published in numerous scholarly journals, and he has given presentations at medical conferences on various aspects of urology in both the United States and Spain.

Dr. Klett practices urology, a surgical subspecialty that manages disease of the genitourinary tract. The genitourinary tract consists of the adrenal glands, kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate, penis, testicles and urethra. Dr. Klett treats most, but not all, adult urologic conditions. His subspecialty focus is endourology, which is the treatment of stones within the bladder, ureters, and kidneys; benign prostatic hyperplasia (BHP) and men's voiding dysfunction; and, minimally invasive urologic surgery including robotic and laparoscopic surgery for benign and malignant genitourinary conditions. Disease management may include surgical and non-surgical treatment options.  Dr. Klett is licensed to practice urology in both Nebraska and Iowa.
