CCMH RECRUITS DR. CRAIG SIMONS TO LEAD EMERGENCY ROOM PHYSICIANS
(Denison, IA) – Beginning in February, Craig G. Simons, DO, will lead the emergency department as a full time Emergency Department Physician and ED Medical Director at Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH). The hiring was announced at the regular CCMH Board of Trustees meeting held on Monday, January 30. Dr. Simons has previous experience at CCMH having served as an interim clinic physician in the Main Campus Clinic in 2013.
Bill Bruce, CCMH President and CEO commented, “We are very pleased by the addition of Dr. Simons to lead our ER team. His leadership and clinical skills will be invaluable as we continue to make improvements in our emergency care.”
A native of the Kansas City area, Dr. Simons received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology at Missouri Western State College, St. Joseph, MO. He went on to earn his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine, in Kansas City, before completing the Internal Medicine Residency Program at University of Missouri‐Kansas City School of Medicine. Dr. Simons has 15 years of experience in emergency room and clinic settings. He is Board certified in Internal Medicine.
