(Denison, IA) – The CCMH Board of Trustees is pleased to announce John A. Lothrop III, MD will begin his practice at Crawford County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) in Denison in late October 2016. Dr. Lothrop will provide Family Medicine at CCMH while serving patients across all age groups.

Dr. Lothrop is a native of Nebraska and recently completed his residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Rockford. His Family Medicine Residency was completed at the Swedish American Hospital, a division of UW Health. UW Health is an academic health system associated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It encompasses the research, education and patient care activities that take place at the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and within UW Hospitals and Clinics Authority.

Dr. Lothrop’s professional interests include adult medicine, women’s health, and chronic disease management, among others. He is Board eligible from the American Board of Family Medicine.

“Dr. Lothrop is a welcome addition to our family medicine provider staff at the Main Campus clinic,” said Bill Bruce, CCMH President and CEO. “The Board of Trustees is to be applauded for their efforts to expand our medical staff and increase health care options for all of our patients.”
