CCMH ANNOUNCES DR. SARAH LUNDIN TO BEGIN OB‐GYN PRACTICE IN MAY
(Denison, IA) – The Board of Trustees of Crawford County Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce that Sarah R. Lundin, DO will begin her OB‐GYN practice at the CCMH Medical Clinic in May 2016. Dr. Lundin was in practice with Nebraska Methodist Health System in Council Bluffs before coming to Denison.
Dr. Lundin earned her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Omaha, NE. She is a 2010 graduate of Des Moines University Medical School with a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Dr. Lundin completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Aultman Hospital in Canton, OH and University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, NE. During her residency, she received clinical and surgical experience in general gynecology and obstetrics as well as urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology, high risk obstetrics and gynecologic malignancies.
Bill Bruce, CCMH President and CEO, said “We welcome Dr. Lundin and her practice to CCMH. Along with Dr. Karl Hasik, our hospital will provide a wealth of professional expertise for expectant mothers and women’s health.”
“My practice is a general OB‐GYN practice”, noted Dr. Lundin. “While providing obstetric care, I can also perform gynecological surgeries for incontinence, bladder prolapse, hysterectomy, and hysteroscopy. I also have experience with laparoscopic procedures, Essure, and Novasure.” Dr. Lundin’s OB services will include vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
"I grew up in the Irwin and Manilla areas, even worked a few summers at the Denison Aquatic Center. I have missed the rural environment and amazing people who live here. The women of this area deserve the very best care, and Dr. Hasik and I will provide them with nothing less. I'm excited to begin my practice here,” Dr. Lundin said.
