UPDATE: Here is the latest on COVID-19 from CCMH

CCMH is committed to the health and safety of its patients, visitors, and employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. Here is the latest information on COVID-19 from CCMH --

  • To avoid being infected with the COVID-19 virus, please follow these precautions:
    • Use hand sanitizer or wash your hands often
    • Cover your cough and wear a face mask when around other people
    • Socially distance at least 6 feet from others when in a group of people
    • Stay home if you are sick
  • For those who think they are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms (i.e. fever of greater that 100.4 degrees, coughing, shortness of breath, etc.), please call the Main Campus clinic at 712-265-2700. Staff will ask screening questions before giving further instructions. If you feel you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 9-1-1.
  • Those who have general questions about the COVID-19 virus are encouraged to visit the Iowa Department of Public Health website or call 2-1-1. There are any number of people trying to access the website or phone at the same time. Please be patient while the website loads or during the wait times in the phone queue.
  • According to the latest information from the Iowa Department of Public Health, there are now 103,222 positive tests for COVID-19 in Iowa. There were 775,238 negative COVID-19 tests results - this number represents tests reported by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.
  • There have been 1,267 reported positive tests in Crawford County and 12 deaths related to COVID-19.
  • Almost 500 people are now hospitalized with COVID-19 in Iowa -- more than at any time during the pandemic emergency which was declared in the state on March 16, 2020. Almost 30 people are hospitalized in Region 4 which includes Crawford County and CCMH.
  • All those coming to CCMH or the clinic will be required to undergo a screening at the Main Entrance. Patients will have their temperature checked and asked screening questions before being admitted to the building. You will also be issued a face mask and asked to use hand sanitizer. There are no exceptions to the screening.
  • In accordance with guidelines established by the Iowa Department of Public Health, the following visitor restrictions remain in place at CCMH:
    • Only patients in need of assistance, including minor children, dependent adults, or OB patients, are allowed one support person to accompany them during their stay at CCMH.
    • The support person must be over the age of 18.
    • Patients will not be allowed to bring children with them to their appointments.
    • All other visitors will be asked to remain in their vehicles.
  • The Main Campus Clinic remains open to patients during its regular hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm; Friday, 8am to 5pm; and Saturday from 8 am to 12 pm. All clinic patients should enter using the Main hospital entrance.
  • The main Hospital entrance will be closed on Saturday at noon following the closure of the Main Campus clinic. The main Hospital entrance will remain closed on Sunday. All clinic patients and support persons will be required to enter the building through the Emergency entrance on Saturday afternoon and evening, and all day Sunday.
