The Cardiac Rehab program offered at Crawford County Memorial Hospital is a complete course geared toward changing lifestyles. The main component of Cardiac Rehab is an exercise program aimed at getting the heart muscle back in shape after a heart attack, stent placement, bypass surgery or valve replacements. Participants also receive patient education regarding heart disease and risk factors. Additionally, a consultation with CCMH’s registered dietician to cover dietary concerns is included in the program.
The program is a minimum of 18 sessions and can be as long as 36 sessions, depending on the patient’s needs and insurance coverage. Participants meet three times a week for about one hour in length. A physician referral is necessary to participate in the Cardiac Rehab program at Crawford County Memorial Hospital. For more information, call 712.265.2500 and ask for Cardiac Rehab.
