Visiting hours/policies

Visiting hours are open. However, due to an increase in influenza-like illness in the area, Crawford County Memorial Hospital has made a temporary change in our visitor policy. Effective October 28, 2009, visitation in the OB department by children younger than 14 years of age will be restricted to include only siblings of the newborn infant. Siblings visiting their newborn brother or sister will only be allowed to enter their mother’s room and no other area in the OB department.

As an additional precaution, OB nursing staff will screen siblings of newborns for signs and symptoms of influenza upon arrival to the department. If children display flu-like symptoms, they will be asked not to visit.

Visitor restrictions will be in effect at Crawford County Memorial Hospital until the 2009 novel H1N1 influenza virus is no longer a threat in the area.
