Hospital Foundation announces limited time “second-chance” engraved paver campaign for Healing Garden

1/23/2012

The Hospital Foundation of Crawford County has announced a second, limited time chance for the purchase of engraved pavers to be placed in the beautiful Healing Garden at Crawford County Memorial Hospital. This opportunity will only be available until the end of February.

“After we completed the garden last summer, we had several individuals who commented that they wished they would have gotten a paver after seeing how beautifully the area was constructed,” said Scott Tibben, President of the Hospital Foundation of Crawford County. “This second-chance sale is really in response to those requests we received to provide one more opportunity to permanently be part of the garden.”

Tibben notes that all expenses related to the construction of the Healing Garden have already been paid. The funds raised from this Second Chance sale will be used to extend a sidewalk from the parking lot near the main hospital entrance to connect around the outside of the building to the healing garden. The sidewalk will enable guests to leisurely stroll to the garden without having to go inside the hospital. Additionally, funds will also be used to complete landscaping at the entrance of the CCMH Medical Clinic.

“We are closing this opportunity at the end of February so that we can have all of the new pavers installed in the garden when the warm weather arrives and usage of the garden becomes popular again,” said Becky Vonnahme, Director of Development and PR at CCMH.

Vonnahme commented that the sizes of pavers available have remained the same as last year. These sizes include a 6”x6” ($250), 6”x9” ($500) and 9”x12” ($1,000). She said there will also be a few 18”x18” stones available for $5,000 to be added to the pathway. In addition, all donations of $1,000 or more also receive dual recognition through an engraved plaque on the elegant donor wall inside the hospital.

“If you already contributed a paver last year, but would like a second or third one, we can combine the total amounts to help you achieve a plaque on the donor wall,” said Vonnahme.
