Intermediate Care can best be described as the type of care received in a nursing home. This type of care is necessary for patients who have experienced an event which has made them unable to care for themselves at home. Crawford County Memorial Hospital’s Intermediate Care program is designed to provide nursing services for patients who don’t meet Skilled Nursing qualifications or patients who are waiting for admission into a nursing home. This private pay program is managed by the patient’s physician.
