Clinic LPN/CMA. Provides nursing care to assigned patients by utilizing the nursing process and meeting the established standards within the clinic. Is accountable for assigned patients, demonstrates understanding of nursing and its issues and is an advocate for patient/families and nursing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service/care appropriate to the age of the patients served
  • Utilizing the nursing process assists the registered nurse/provider in providing patient care
  • Identifies actual and potential risk to patients and/or families and initiates appropriate action to minimize risk
  • Administers medications and treatments/procedures as directed, and as appropriate for the patient’s medical care, in collaboration with the multi -disciplinary team
  • Recognizes and communicates issues/occurrences utilizing established lines of authority, and assists in identifying ways to resolve variances or unacceptable outcomes

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strives to exceed the needs and expectations of every patient, guest and co-worker
  • Makes all patients, guests and employees feel welcome and accepted, speaks with everyone encountered, utilizes good eye contact along with a smile
  • Introduces self to others and uses their names whenever possible
  • Offers assistance to personally escort patients and guests to their destinations and introduces them to a contact person, regardless of whose department it is
  • Demonstrates appropriate and professional phone, electronic and other communication etiquette
  • Respects the organization’s and each individual’s rights of privacy, confidentiality and security

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Must be a licensed practical nurse maintaining current state licensure
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BCLS) is required unless doctor’s release is provided

Experience Requirements (mandatory and preferred):

  • A minimum of one to two years nursing experience preferred
  • Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team.
  • Must have general working knowledge of computers and department specific software (i.e. word, excel, Internet, etc.)

Greeter. Part-time (7 hours/week  14 hours/pay period).  Welcomes patients, their families, and visitors entering the CCMH facility and helps them find their destination within the hospital or clinic.  Assists other departments with other projects on an as-needed basis.  Every Tuesday 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. with options to fill vacancies during vacations/call-in times.

Human Resources Director. Full time position. Competitive salary and excellent benefits provided. Position is responsible for daily operations and oversight of hospital’s human resources department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating employee compensation and benefits
  • Manage recruitment processes and staffing
  • Oversee employee/labor relations and staff development
  • Development and implementation of effective performance management
  • Organize staff development and other key human resource processes and practices

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience in an organized labor relations environment is desired but not required
  • Excellent communication skills and leadership abilities are a must

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, or related field with a Master’s degree strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated successful experience in human resources management in a hospital setting
  • PHR/SPHR certification, or equivalent is required.

Materials Manager. Full time/exempt. Primary responsibility is to administer and direct the department to purchase, store and disburse materials, supplies and equipment for hospital and clinic use. Supervises staff engaged in receiving, storing and disbursing of supplies.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for daily operations and oversight of hospital’s materials department
  • Compliance of purchasing contract
  • Procurement and maintenance of the hospital’s departments’ inventories
  • Pricing of capital equipment and implementation of the budget

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Materials Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • 2-3 years of previous purchasing or materials management experience in hospital preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel preferred.

Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT). Full-time (40 hours/week/80 hours/pay period), day shifts with call requirements. Interested candidates need to be certified by a national accredited agency; such as, ASCP, AMT, NCA etc. Applicant should possess basic knowledge for a laboratory Generalist (Chemistry, Hematology, Immunohematology, Hemostasis, Urinalysis, Serology and Arterial Blood Gases). Applicant will be expected to rotate call every 5th weekend and take a rotation through the week. The selected applicant will also need to possess phlebotomy skills that will include arterial draws.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-analytical – All types of specimen collection, completion of appropriate paperwork and test ordering, and proper preparation of specimens for analysis
  • Analytical – Perform all ordered tests on appropriate specimens, perform QC as needed, and perform maintenance on equipment as needed
  • Post analytical – Proper distribution of results
  • Demonstrates values and behaviors according to Values Statement

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Graduate of a Medical Laboratory Technician program (normally with an Associate’s degree)

Education/Certification Requirements:

  • One to three years of previous clinical laboratory experience is desired but not required
  • Experience with all types of blood draws is desired but not required

Obstetrics Unit Manager. Full time position. Exempt/Salaried. Current RN license for the state of Iowa or compact state. BSN preferred. Three to five years of OB experience (L&D and post-partum) required. Previous supervisor and/or manager experience preferred. NRP, ACLS, PALS, and STABLE certifications required. Will be responsible for the daily operations of an active OB department which includes the development and implementation of policies and procedures and keeping the Directory of Nursing informed of both progress and potential problems. Responsible for regulatory and standard of care compliance of the OB department. Responsible for the direct management of approximately 8.0 FTE’s. Good communication skills essential. Must be willing to fulfill the role of a staff OB RN on a regular basis. Must be willing to assist with patient care on the Medical/Surgical Unit if needed.

Receptionist – City Center Clinic Location. Full-time (80 hours per pay period), hourly position, 8:00am – 5pm Monday through Friday. High school diploma required. Under direct supervision, performs computerized patient scheduling. Receives patients and visitors and answers the telephone. Completes the patient office visit. Excellent custom service skills, ability to multi task, ensure attention to detail, excellent computer and phone skills, 1 – 2 years’ experience in a clinic preferred but not required.

RN – Emergency Department. Full-time (36 hours/week, 72 hours/pay period) working primarily night shift and weekends. Provides nursing care to emergency room patients and outpatients in a safe and professional manner, utilizing established policies and procedures, physician orders, protocols, and standards of care. ACLS, PALS, BLS and TNCC are required within one (1) years of hire date. ER experience preferred.

RN – OB Unit. Full-time position rotating shifts. Progressive and rapidly growing Obstetrical department. RN with previous OB and/or Medical/Surgical experience preferred. Must have strong critical thinking skills and able and willing to work as part of a team. On call requirements. Must be willing to work 12 hour shifts with shift rotation with other staff members. Provides direct patient care in the Labor / Delivery / Postpartum / Newborn and Antepartum setting. Provides assessment and planning for individualized patient care. Communicates with physicians about changes in patient’s clinical condition including, but not limited to: fetal monitoring and results of diagnostic studies. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. ACLS, PALS, BLS and NRP required but will provide if needed. Must be able to work independently.
