Volunteers: Hospital Auxiliary

The Hospital Auxiliary is made up of almost 250 members throughout the active units in Denison, Schleswig and Vail. Over the past 50 years this group had raised and donated over $330,000 to the hospital and ultimately to the community. The auxiliary generates their funds through the snack bar at the hospital and bake sales which include hand crafted items made by the members of the Hospital Auxiliary.

The purpose of the auxiliary has always been to promote good public relations, provide health education programs, and keep informed of legislative issues as they affect health care. These are accomplished by many hours of volunteer efforts.

If anyone wishes to obtain information of the hospital auxiliary or if they want to become a member they may contact any Auxiliary member or Jan LaRue at 712-263-2281. To volunteer for Telecare or for one 4 hour shift per month in the Gift Shop/Snack Bar please contact Shirley Meyer at 712-263-6266.
